Privacy Policy

At Domain.com we recognize that privacy is important. This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect from you, and how and when it might be used and shared.

Who We Are

P.D.R. Solutions, FZC (the “Company”) is the operator of VIP.Domain.com by Domain.com, Inc. (“Domain.com”).  On behalf of Domain.com, the Company provides local language support of Domain.com’s cloud-based solutions, including web-hosting, domain name and related products and services, to businesses, individuals, non-profit organizations and others.  In connection with its provision of these services, the Company collects information from you on behalf of Domain.com who may use the information as provided herein.  As used in this Privacy Policy, “we,” “our” or “us” refers to the Company and Domain.com.  Domain.com and the Company are subsidiaries of The Endurance International Group, Inc. (“Endurance”).

Collection of Information

We collect information in different ways when you use or access our services such as when you register with us, during your use of our products and services, and when you visit our website or the pages of our partners. During the registration process, you are asked to provide certain personal information including your name, postal address, email address, telephone number and billing information.  When you sign in to our services, we may automatically receive and record information from your computer and browser, including your IP address, software and hardware attributes, the page you request and other standard browser parameters.

When you use our services or open certain emails from us, we may send one or more cookies - a small file containing a string of characters - to your device that uniquely identifies your browser. We use cookies to improve the quality of our services. We may set one or more cookies in your browser when you use our services or one of our partner's services to store user preferences, track user trends and to provide you with a better experience. When you send messages, publish content, post material, transmit information or email through our services, we may retain the same in order to process your inquiries, respond to your requests and improve our services.  We may combine information about you that we have with information we obtain from other partners or other companies in order to provide you with a better experience or to improve the quality of our services. 

Our infrastructure consists of servers deployed at multiple datacenters that are owned and operated by us or our partners. All information collected within our services resides on this network of servers, which may be located in the United States or in other countries.

Use of Information

We use the information we collect to provide cloud-based product solutions and services along with collecting payment. Passively collected information, such as information collected from or about your device, including through the placement or reading of cookies or other tracking technologies, is used to provide a customized experience.  In addition, we use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• Communicating with you
• Managing your account
• Making the sites or services easier to use by eliminating the need for you to repeatedly enter the same information
• Auditing, research and analysis in order to maintain, protect and improve our services
• Ensuring the technical functioning of our network
• Protecting our rights or property and that of our users
• Developing and promoting new services that we believe may be of interest to you

We may also use the information as described in any additional terms of service that may apply to you based on any additional services or products you may have purchased.  In certain instances, we may use aggregated and non-identifying information to promote advertisements that appear on our website and in connection with our services.

Information Sharing

We may share personal information we collect from you with other companies or individuals as described below:

• We have your consent
• With our subsidiaries, affiliated companies or other trusted businesses or persons for the purpose of processing personal information in order to provide the services or to offer products and services that we believe may be of interest to you. We require that these parties agree to process such information based on our instructions and in compliance with this Privacy Policy and any other appropriate confidentiality and security measures.
• We have a good faith belief that access, use, preservation or disclosure of such information is reasonably necessary to:
  (a) satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process or enforceable governmental request,
  (b) enforce applicable terms of service, including investigation of potential violations thereof,
  (c) detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues, or
  (d) protect against harm to our or our users’ rights, property or safety, or to the public as required or permitted by law.
• We may share with third parties certain aggregated, non-personal information, such as the number of users by demographic insofar as such information does not identify you individually.
• As described in any additional terms of service that may apply to you based on any additional services or products you may have purchased.

Domain Privacy
 
When we are threatened with a lawsuit by a third party or any other legal action is brought to our attention involving us based on the anonymity of a domain name, we reserve the right to disclose your contact information so that any allegations of infringement or other wrongdoing may be directly resolved between you and the complainant.  We may first seek written confirmation from you that you have contacted the complainant and made your contact information available to the complainant. Failure to promptly provide these assurances may be considered a breach of your agreement with us and may result in deactivation of your domain name and disclosure of your contact information.

No-Spam Policy

We have a strict “No-Spam” policy prohibiting the use of any data collected to send spam. We will not sell any of your contact information to third parties.

Information Security

We take appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access to, or unauthorized alteration, disclosure, or destruction of, data. These measures include internal reviews of our data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures, as well as physical security measures to guard against unauthorized access to systems where we store personal data.  We restrict access to user personal information to our employees, contractors and agents who need to know that information in order to operate, develop or improve our services. These individuals are bound by confidentiality obligations and may be subject to discipline, including termination and criminal prosecution, if they fail to meet these obligations.

Your Options/Cookies

When you sign up for a particular service that requires registration, we ask you to provide personal information.  If we would like to use this information in a manner different than the purpose defined herein and in the Terms of Service, we will ask for your consent prior to such use. Most browsers are initially set up to accept cookies, but you can reset your browser to refuse some or all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. Some of our features and services may not function properly if your cookies are disabled. You can decline to submit personal information to any of our services, however, this may affect our ability to provide those services to you.

Unsubscribe/Opt-out

When you register for our services, you are automatically subscribed to receive transactional notices about your account, email newsletters and news concerning special promotions offered through us and/or in conjunction with our partners.  To unsubscribe from our newsletters and promotional mailings, please update your preferences in your control panel or contact support. You may also unsubscribe through the links provided in promotional email messages sent by us or on our behalf.

 

Accessing and Updating Personal Information

You may update or correct inaccuracies in your personal information in our custody or control by accessing the control panel or by contacting support via email, phone or online chat. We may ask you to verify the account by providing certain personal information. To ensure you receive the information you need to manage your account and protect your privacy, please be sure to keep your contact and billing information up to date. You can update all account-related information at any time directly through your control panel or by contacting support.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to revise, amend, or modify this Privacy Policy at any time and in any manner. However, if we plan to materially change how we use previously collected personal information, we will provide you with notice prior to the change becoming effective and an opportunity to opt-out of such differing uses. We encourage you to periodically review this page for the latest information on our privacy practices. You can find when this Privacy Policy was last updated at the bottom of this page.

CHILDREN UNDER 13.  This website is not directed towards children and we do not seek to collect any personal information from children.  If we become aware that personal information from a child under the age of 13 has been collected, we will use all reasonable efforts to delete such information from our database.
